THESE UPGRADE NOTES ARE FOR USERS CURRENTLY ON 1.0.8 IF YOU ARE UPGRADING FROM 1.0.7 or older, please use the instructions for a previous version below.

1. Backup all of your files in your Interlink Folder.
2. Backup all of your files one more time just to be safe ;-)
3. Backup your Interlink database by right clicking on your database in Navicat and using the Dump SQL File option.
4. I highly recommend backing up your database two times just to be safe.
5. MOVE ONLY THE upgrade.php from 1.0.9 into your root folder.
6. Login to your site using an administrator username and password.
7. Expand your Administration Menu and click on Upgrade Interlink.
8. If you receive the following message ‘Your database was upgraded to version 1.0.9′ then your database upgrade was successful.
9. If you receive the following message ‘Your appear to already be on 1.0.X which is the newest version of Interlink!’ then you are already on version 1.0.9.
10. Delete all of the files in your root folder except for the config.php file.
11. Copy the 1.0.9 files into your root folder.
12. Rename the config.php to config-old.php and rename the config-new.php to config.php.
13. Move the database username, password, database name, host name and AES Key from your config-old.php to the config.php file.
14. Move your client logos back into clients/logos
15. Move your client CSVs back int your clients/csvreports (If applicable)
16. Reapply write permissions to clients/logos and clients/csvreports (If applicable)
17. Move any logos you use for your Interlink installation back into the appropriate folders
18. Place your license file into your root folder.
19. Login to the site to verify site is functioning as expected.
20. If you would like to use GFI, then go to settings and put in the GFI API URL from your GFI documentation.
22. ****** IMPORTANT ****** Delete the install.php file and upgrade.php file from your root folder after your upgrade is complete. ******* IMPORTANT *******
23. ****** IMPORTANT ****** If you purchased the Password Manager add on you will need to enter an aeskey between the quotes in your config file on line 77. ******* IMPORTANT *******
24. ****** NOTE ******** If you have client logos pointing to external websites you will need to add them to Interlink again. Because you have the ability
to upload your own logos now, it no longer works with external links.

Interlink for CommitCRM – 64 Bit Support

Interlink is now supported on Windows Server 2008 R2 64 Bit.  Instructions for setting up server environment can be found here.

Pulled out primary contact from contact lists for clients because they are not contacts in CommitCRM so they cause failures when submitting items.

Added a Billable Hour Display at the top of each internal user’s page to show them how many billable and non billable hours they have accumulated for the day.

When status is changed in Interlink, a new history note is created showing who changed the status.
Fixed bug where special characters would cause error when used in description on phone and browser billing submission.
Fixed bug where choosing an about would cause an error on longer items in the about list.

Moved ticket buttons above ticket work fields since some of them were longer causing the user to have to scroll down the page to change their current function.

Interlink for CommitCRM Released

Over a year in the making, thousands of hours of development and testing, great feedback and insight from our beta testers… and now we are proud to announce the release of Interlink for CommitCRM version 1.0. This is no ordinary 1.0 release as we have been using Interlink everyday to run our own PSA Business through-out the development cycle.

We have added a new feedback option directly within Interlink which will allow users to suggest features they want to see in Interlink and by using crowd sourcing we will be able to determine the features that you want most as other users can vote on which suggestions they like best.

Interlink RC2 for CommitCRM Released

Completed Improvements in RC2

  • Created upgrade.php file to handle future sql updates through the browser.
  • Moved all config information (With the exception of the Database Login information) from the config file to the database.
  • Added version information to the database.
  • Made “drawers” for the left hand menus to shorten the overall length of the menus and consolidate like items.
  • Fixed bug in install.php file that caused SQL1 Error on some systems.
  • Created a settings page that allows all variables previously set in the config file to be modified through the browser.
  • Modified View Ticket page on iphone to allow filtering of client list.
